Résumé "Late of Southampton but now of Richmond in the County of Surrey, Esquire in consequence of William Powlett POWLETT Esquire late of Lauston in the County of Hants deceased." St. John County records. Will, covering 10 pages, dated 16 September 1822, proved at Saint John 4 February 1824. Having provided for my two sons, Barton Powlett WALLOP and Newton Ward WALLOP, I give that annuity of £200 which I am entitled to during the life of the Rev. Henry WAKE of Wallop in the County of Hants, Clerk, and the annuity of £48 which I am entitled to during the life of the Rev. William HARE of Lymington in the County of Hants, son of Lord Ennismore, now the Earl of Listowel, and the sum of £4,600 16s. 3d. three percent Consolidated Bank Annuities to which I am entitled on the decease of Henry WAKE under the last will and testament of my sister Camilla WAKE, deceased, the wife of Henry WAKE, and the money to be due by virtue of a policy of Insurance upon my life in the sum of £1,000 in the Pelican Office, unto my friends Robert SHEDDON Junior of Brooklands, near Southampton, Esquire, and Arthur SHAKESPEAR of Exton in the County of Hants, Esquire, upon trust to invest these funds and to pay the annual interest and proceeds to my daughter Henrietta WALLOP for her sole use during her natural life, if she shall have attained the age of 21 years or shall have been then married, or to any other person or persons as she may direct in writing. After the decease of my daughter, the income to be paid to, or for the benefit of, the child or children or grandchild or grandchildren of other issue, if any, of my daughter Henrietta. All sums of money that may be due me as a Naval Officer of the Province of New Brunswick and all monies in the hands of my bankers, Messrs Chambers and Son, I give to Robert SHEDDON Junior and Arthur SHAKESPEAR to discharge my just debts, the surplus to be invested as previously stipulated. Robert SHEDDON Junior and Arthur SHAKESPEAR executors. Witnesses: William TOPHAM, Hill Street, Richmond, and [M.] WILLIS, 6 Great Ryder Street, St. James. CODICIL dated 11 January 1823 appoint George THOMPSON of Bishop Sutton, Abersford (?), in the County of Hants, Esquire, and Charles WARD of Saint John, New Brunswick, Esquire, as joint trustees and executors with Robert SHEDDON and Arthur SHAKESPERE. Witnesses: M. WILLIS, William TOPHAM.
