: PO 1861-1948: in 1866 Mispec was a fishing and farming settlement with approximately 40 families: Jeremiah Caulkins was the superintendent of the Mispec mills: the Mispec Manufacturing Company was a local employer: in 1871 Mispec had a population of 200: in 1904 Mispec had 1 post office, 1 pulp mill, 2 stores, 1 church and a population of 300.
