Located 4.52 km NE of Coles Island, on the road to Brookvale: Johnston Parish, Queens County: named for David Phillips, a teacher from Derry, Ireland in 1819: Thomas Phillips, William Phillips Sr. and William Phillips Jr. were early settlers here: included Victory: PO 1879-1929: in 1898 Victory was a small settlement with 1 post office and a population of 50.
