Located along the Nashwaak river, 3. 92 km SSW of Cross Creek on the road to Nashwaak Bridge: Stanley Parish, York County: formed in 1835 by the New Brunswick and Nova Scotia Land Company: PO from 1847: in 1866 Stanley was a farming community with approximately 27 resident families: in 1898 Stanley had 1 post office, 6 stores, 3 hotels, 1 sawmill, 1 grist mill, 1 cheese factory, 2 churches and a population of 275: Stanley was incorporated as a village in 1966.
