Exterior view of the Collège du Sacré-Coeur in Caraquet. The college was founded in 1899 by the Eudist Fathers and received its university charter in 1900. In this photo: the first building, built by the Rev. J. Théophile Allard (centre), the left wing, built in 1901 to accommodate the growing number of students, and the second wing (on right), built in 1907 to house new students. This wing was more spacious than the first and included a magnificent chapel. The building burned down in 1915
