Construction of the Petit Rocher Regional School was completed in 1948. The brick, concrete, and tile building cost $345,000 to build. The equipment alone cost $19,500. The school had a basement and two storeys. Inside, it had commercial rooms, two rooms for teaching home economics, nine classrooms, offices, a workshop, and an auditorium/gymnasium. In 1977, the Petit Rocher Regional School became a school for students in Grades 7 to 9. This is a picture of Petit Rocher Regional School in 1949.
