Located 5.49 km ESE of Anagance Ridge: Cardwell Parish, Kings County: settled in 1810: PO Annagance 1857-1875: PO Anagance 1875-1986: in 1866 it was a farming community with about 10 resident families: included Joney Settlement and Hayward Settlement: in 1866 Hayward Settlement was a farming and lumbering community with approximately 11 resident families: in 1871 Anagance was a station on the European and North American Railway and had a population of about 100: in 1904 Anagance was a station on the Intercolonial Railway and had 1 post office, 2 stores, 1 church, 1 sawmill and a population of 150.
