Located on W side of the St. John River, 3.92 km NNE of River de Chute: Andover Parish, Victoria County: John Baird (1795-1858) was an early settler here: PO 1868-1924 with Henry Baird as first postmaster: in 1871 the community had a population of 200: in 1898 Bairdsville was a farming settlement with 1 post office, 1 store, 2 churches and a population of 125.
