Located on E side of the St. John River, on Monquart Stream, 5.71 km NNW of Bristol: Kent Parish, Carleton County: first called Munquart: PO 1852-1868: in 1866 Munquart was a farming community with about 64 resident families: renamed Bath for the city of Bath in England: PO Bath from 1868: in 1904 Bath was a station on the Canadian Pacific Railway and a community with 1 post office, 8 stores, 2 hotels, 2 sawmills, 1 grist mill, 3 churches and a population of 350: Bath was incorporated as a village in 1966.
