Located 6.48 km E of Cedar Camp, on the road to Mechanic Settlement: Cardwell Parish and Waterford Parish, Kings County: first called Baskin or Baskin Dale for John Baskin: in 1866 Baskin was a farming settlement with approximately 11 resident families: renamed Clevelands when the post office was created: PO Clevelands 1888-1928 with M. Cleveland as first postmaster: in 1898 Clevelands was a farming community with 1 post office and a population of 60.
