Located along Grand Lake, 9.52 km NE of The Range: Waterborough Parish, Queens County: PO from 1856: in 1866 Cumberland Bay was a farming community with about 88 families, including 8 Barton, 7 Clark, 7 McLean and 6 Smith families: in 1871 the community and surrounding district had a population of 500: in 1898 Cumberland Bay was a station on the Central Railway and a settlement with 1 post office, 2 stores, 1 hotel, 2 churches and a population of 100.
