Located E of South Oromocto Lake, 7.42 km S of Boyne: Clarendon Parish, Charlotte County: this area was settled in 1860 by people from Queens County, New Brunswick: William Floyd first named the community Havelock Hill: included Birch Hill Settlement: PO Clarendon 1861-1903: in 1898 Clarendon was a farming community with 1 post office and a population of 100: included the settlement of Scott Brook: PO Scott Brook 1903-1914.
