Located on W side of the St. John River, 5.38 km SE of Hampstead and 8.38 km NNE of Oak Point: Greenwich Parish, Kings County: first called Wordens for Jarvis Worden (1756-1842), a loyalist settler from New York: renamed in 1886 when the post office was created: PO Evandale 1886-1931: in 1898 Evandale was a summer resort and a settlement with 1 post office, 1 hotel and a population of 100.
