Located 5.43 km ENE of Bristol: Kent Parish, Carleton County: named for a place in Scotland or for Charles Gordon Glass, founder of the community in 1861: PO 1863-1970: in 1866 Gordonsville was a farming and lumbering settlement with about 50 families: in 1871 it had a population of 50: in 1898 Gordonsville had 1 post office, 1 church and a population of 200.
