Located 5.47 km ENE of Moncton: Moncton Parish, Westmorland County: John B. Harris was an early settler here: included Shediac Road: PO 1856-1911: in 1866 Shediac Road was a farming community with about 177 families, including 6 Trites families: in 1871 it had a population of 150: in 1898 Shediac Road had 1 post office and a population of 350: PO Harrisville 1890-1930 with Eli Harris as the first postmaster: in 1898 Harrisville was a farming and lumbering settlement with 1 post office, 1 church and a population of 160: now within the city of Moncton.
