Located near the head of the Millstream River, 2.26 km NE of Gibbon: Studholm Parish, Kings County: PO 1867-1877 and 1882-1967: in 1871 the comunity and the surrounding district had a population of 400: in 1898 Head of Millstream was a farming settlement with 1 post office, 1 store, 1 sawmill, 1 grist mill, 3 churches and a population of 150.
