Located on Caraquet Harbour, Chaleur Bay, 3.11 km NE of Caraquet: Caraquet Parish, Gloucester County: the first settler here was a LeBouthillier from Normandy (France) who originally settled in Quebec and later moved to this area: PO 1901-1970: in 1904 Le Bouthillier was a farming and fishing community on Caraquet Harbour with 1 post office, 3 stores and a population of 200: became part of the town of Caraquet.
