Located on W side of the St. John River, 2.26 km SW of Kingsclear and 3.71 km N of Newmarket: Kingsclear Parish, York County: named for settler Abraham Long, a Loyalist who served with the New Jersey Volunteers during the Revolutionary War: its Maliseet name of Skoodowabskook was immortalized in James DeMille's poem "Sweet Maiden of Quoddy."
