Located on W side of the St. John River, 5.36 km SE of Prince William: Prince William Parish, York County: PO 1856-1916: in 1866 Lower Prince William was a farming settlement with approximately 90 resident families, including 6 Hoyt families: in 1871 it had a population of 400: in 1898 Lower Prince William had 1 post office, 1 store, 1 hotel, 1 church and a population of 75.
