Located 5.71 km SSW of Caledonia Mountain and 9.5 km NW of Riverside-Albert: Harvey Parish, Albert County: founded about 1850 by settlers from Nova Scotia: named for an agent who encouraged the immigration of Scottish settlers: PO Lumsden 1884-1894: in 1898 Lumsden was a farming community with 1 post office, 1 sawmill, 1 church and a population of 75.
