Located on the Chaleur Bay, 5.31 km WNW of Belledune: Beresford Parish, Gloucester County: PO 1857-1970: in 1866 Belledune River was a farming community with approximately 20 resident families: in 1871 it had a population of 150: in 1898 Belledune River had 1 post office and a population of 200: became part of the village of Belledune.
