Located on Long Reach in the St. John River, 2.6 km E of Central Greenwich: Greenwich Parish, Kings County: Ganong identified the Maliseet name as Kwenemeeeamkee'uk: PO 1844-1970: in 1866 Oak Point was a farming community with about 36 resident families, including 8 Flewelling families: in 1871 it had a population of 150: in 1898 Oak Point was a farming settlement with 1 post office, 1 store, 1 hotel, 1 sawmill, 1 lighthouse, 1 church and a population of 235.
