Located on the Tobique River, 2.25 km NW of Wapske : Gordon Parish, Victoria County: named for the presence of plaster, which is found on many of the hillsides and river banks in the area: PO from 1900: in 1904 Plaster Rock was the terminus of the Tobique Valley Railway and a community with 1 post office, 2 stores, plaster quarries, 1 sawmill, 2 churches and a population of about 150: Plaster Rock was incorporated as a village in 1966.
