: Benjamin Pomeroy was an early settler here in 1784: PO 1855-1914: in 1866 Pomeroy Ridge was a farming and lumbering settlement with about 37 families including the families of John Pomeroy, John M. Pomeroy, Joseph Y. Pomeroy, and Peter Pomeroy: in 1866 it included the community of
Clark Point
which was inhabited by the families of Marshall R. Clarke, and Samuel J. Clarke: in 1871 Pomeroy Ridge had a population of 200: in 1898 it had 1 post office, 1 church and a population of 150.
