Located 3.19 km NW of Hammondvale: Hammond Parish and Sussex Parish, Kings County: settled in 1820 and named for a suburb of Portland, Maine: PO Poodiac 1869-1915: in 1871 it had a population of 100: in 1898 Poodiac was a farming settlement with 1 post office and a population of 50: included the community of Marchbank: PO Marchbank 1889-1951 with A.W. Marchbank as first postmaster: in 1898 Marchbank was a farming settlement with 1 post office and a population of 30.
