Located on W side of the Memramcook River, 2.58 km W of Dorchester, on the road to Cormier Cove: Dorchester Parish, Westmorland County: PO 1863-1933: in 1866 Rockland was a farming settlement with about 40 resident families: in 1871 it had a population of 100: in 1898 Rockland had 1 post office and a population of 120: Rockland became part of Taylor Village.
