Located on E side of the St. John River, 5.29 km SE of Prime, on the road to Siegas: Sainte-Anne Parish, Madawaska County: formerly called André Settlement: included the community of Quisibus: PO Quisibus 1879-1897: PO Ste-Anne-de-Madawaska from 1898: in 1904 it was a flag station on the Canadian Pacific Railway and a settlement with 1 post office, 1 store, 1 sawmill, 1 cheese factory, 1 church and a population of 150: Sainte-Anne-de-Madawaska was incorporated as a village in 1966.
