Located 7.41 km WNW of Chipman, on the road to Hardwood Ridge: Chipman Parish, Queens County: PO 1860-1911: in 1866 Salmon Creek was a farming community with about 26 resident families: in 1871 Salmon Creek had a population of 200: included PO Lower Salmon Creek 1889-1913: in 1898 Lower Salmon Creek had 1 post office, 1 church and a population of 50: also included Upper Salmon Creek.
