Located 4.52 km NW of Centreville: Studholm Parish, Kings County: John Snider, James Snider and Jacob Snider settled here in 1823: in 1866 Snider Mountain was a farming community with approximately 14 resident families: PO 1880-1927: in 1898 it had 1 post office, 2 churches and a population of 150: included Mountain Dale: PO 1883-1921 and 1927-1928: in 1898 Mountain Dale was a farming settlement with 1 post office, 1 store, 2 churches and a population of 150.
