Located on the Kennebecasis River, 2.26 km SE of Springdale, on the road to Mechanic Settlement: Cardwell Parish, Kings County: PO South Branch Kennebeccasis 1853-c1885: in 1866 South Branch was a farming community with 32 families, including 12 Godard families: in 1871 it had a population of 200: PO South Branch c1885-1928: in 1898 South Branch had 1 post office and a population of about 180.
