Located 2.59 km E of Sussex and 6.47 km W of Picadilly: Sussex Parish, Kings County: original site of Sussex Vale: PO from 1860 with Calkin J. Bennett as an early postmaster: in 1866 Sussex Corner was a farming community with about 44 families: in 1871 Sussex Corner had a population of 300: in 1898 it had 1 post office, 2 stores, 1 hotel, 2 churches and a population of 475: Sussex Corner was incorporated as a village in 1966.
