Located 3.93 km NNW of Hatfield Point, on the road to Stewarton: Springfield Parish, Kings County: settled about 1820 by immigrants from the town of Perth in Scotland: in 1866 West Scotch Settlement was a farming community with 17 families: PO 1882-1913: in 1898 West Scotch Settlement had 1 post office and a population of 45.
