Located 3.71 km S of Sackville, on the road to Wood Point: Sackville Parish, Westmorland County: William Francis Ganong identified the Mi'kmaq name for Westcock as Oakskaak: settled by Acadians and then English settlers : PO 1854-1938: in 1866 Westcock was a farming and lumbering settlement with about 62 families: in 1898 Westcock had 1 post office, 1 sawmill, 1 grist mill, 1 church and a population of 150.
