Located 1.3 km E of Browns Flat: Greenwich Parish, Kings County: most likely named for Isaac Caton and James Caton, who were pre-loyalist grantees of 2000 acres in this vicinity: William Francis Ganong identified the Maliseet name for Catons Island as Ah-men-henit-murs-eek-wol: now the site of a Christian campground: also known as Fosters Island because it was owned by a Foster family for a number of years.
