Located on the Tobique River, 7.52 km S of Everett: Lorne Parish, Victoria County: first called Foster's Cove: PO 1864-1891: in 1866 Foster's Cove was a farming community with about 30 families: in 1871 Foster's Cove and the surrounding district had a population of 150: renamed Burnt Land Brook in 1891: PO Burnt Land Brook 1891-1926: in 1898 Burtland Brook was a lumbering settlement with 1 post office, 1 sawmill, 1 grist mill and a population of 60.
