Here the author reminiscences about the MacPherson family, particularly David MacPherson who was a passenger on the Castalia. David’s father was dissatisfied with his lot of land, and moved his family to Saint John. Later David became reacquainted with Ellen Crocker, who had left Scotch Colony for the Port City to work as a domestic. Eventually, they married and made their home in Saint John.
