Louis J. Robichaud (1925-2005) was the first Acadian to be elected premier of New Brunswick. He was premier from 1960 to 1970 and spearheaded much change during that period. His achievements include the Official Languages Act, the founding of the Université de Moncton, and the abolition of county councils. We see him here in conversation with Pierre Elliott Trudeau, who was prime minister of Canada at the time.
