Come springtime, log drives took place throughout New Brunswick to deliver the logs felled during winter to the processing plants. This 1897 photo shows nine drivers on the Bartholomew River in Renous, near Miramichi. The drivers are about to break up a log jam. The letter "H" on the logs indicates they belong to the Hutchinson Company.
