The barn is now owned by the sisters who occupy the former Bishop’s residence just in front of it. It was previously used as a carriage barn by the Bishop’s residence in Chatham, NB.

These university buildings were later used as a high school and elementary school while providing offices for the school district. They ceased being used as university buildings in August 1964.

This building was St. Thomas College when it was built in 1919 after the former building was lost in a fire in 1818. It was used by the University until 1964. It was later occupied by the Emergency Measures Organization.
