Item - 1911
P23\23

In this photo, Saint Andrews is decorated for the arrival of Prince Arthur, the Duke of Connaught and the tenth Governor General of Canada. His visit marked the opening of the Prince Arthur School which operated until the 1960's.

the original photograph is held in the Charlotte County Archives and is embossed with the photographer's name: D. Will McKay. So, although the photograph is from a later date than the rest of the P23 collection, it was taken by the same photographer.
