The original structure of the Anglican Church was consecrated July 26th 1826, but was torn down in 1907 due to a need for extensive repairs and to make room for a larger structure. The structure in the image was consecrated 9th of December 1909 and housed a large school room in the stone basement. This structure later burned, but a new St. Mark's Church building is located at 28 Main Street in St. George.
