The Calais Savings Bank held forth in the brick building across the corner, while on the third floor above "Fellowship Lodge, I.O.O.F. meets every Friday night". The "Columbian Dining Room & Oyster Saloon" is just up the street. Beyond that again was the Calais Advertiser.
