Around the corner of Main and North Streets in Calais about 1900. The emporium with the turret at the far left is that of a "J. Kalish, One-Price Clothing House". Beyond that, N.A. Olsson offered hats and suits. The facade at the far right states that Buckett and Co. offered " paper, paper bags, twine, cigars, tobacco, fruit, nuts and canned meat". Next is "W. Woods and Co., Drygoods". Farther along the street, "McKusick's Law Office" shares a sign with " Dr. Thomson's Med. Co., office and laboratory". An awning just above offers "College Ices".
