Scope and Content

This west side beach was very popular until it succumbed to the 1914 expansion of the rail and port operations. Later it served as a dump and a site for pulp wood peeling and storage yard. It later housed the terminal for Saint John to Digby ferry. This image was used as a post card and copies are commonly found in collections at the archives.
