DUNN, MARGARET ANNA (1887-1947)

DUNN, MARGARET ANNA, Sister Dunn of the Religious Hospitallers of St Joseph; teacher and superior at Chatham, 1944-47; b. Chatham, 15 Nov 1887, d/o John Dunn and Mary Monahan; entered religious life, 1908; d. Chatham, 7 Dec 1947.

M. Anna Dunn was educated at St Michael's Academy and the Provincial Normal School and became a teacher at St Michael's. After many years in the classroom she was appointed mistress of novices at Chatham in 1940. In 1944 she was elected superior. She was re-elected to a second term in 1947, but her health had begun to deteriorate, and she died a few months later, at age sixty.
