Parish of St. Andrews, Charlotte County, Merchant. Will dated 21 October 1823, proved 14 August 1824. Wife Mary all rents from real estate for life. To each of my children, un-named, £500, the interest of which to support and educate them until age 21. My interest in two houses in my native town of Kilbride, owned with brother James, to my father and mother, and after their decease, to my sisters Ann and Martha. In case the business now carried on by C. Scott & Co. should be closed, or John RODGERS and John MOWAT not be connected in it after the final adjustment of the present concern and they are desirous of commencing a new joint account, executors are directed to loan them for three years £1,000 on their personal security and for a longer period on security given on real estate.
