Abstract Parish of Woodstock, Carleton County, Esquire. Will dated 17 August 1833, proved 14 September 1833. Wife Judith entire estate for life, empowering her to sell such land as necessary to pay debts and to rent remainder of real estate, the rental income for her own use. After my father's death my mother shall have a good and comfortable home. After wife's death real estate to be divided among my brothers Jacob, Isaac, Benjamin and Oliver and my sisters Elizabeth UPHAM, Martha UPHAM, Sophia SMITH, Maria BULL and Francis SMITH, together with Elizabeth DIBBLEE, wife of Frederick B. DIBBLEE and sister of my wife Judith. Mentions intention of father Jacob SMITH to establish a claim which he pretends to have upon part of my said real estate, as well as to bring fictitious demands against me after my death.
