Résumé Parish of Sackville, Westmorland County, Esquire. Will dated 14 February 1815, proved 12 June 1815. Wife Mary one bed, bedding, bedstead, curtains and the furniture for one room, the use of the best room in my dwelling, hay and pasturage for one cow, sufficient wood for one fire, as much wool as she may want for her own use and an annuity of £20 for life. Daughters Betsy, Rebecca, Sally, Ruth and Ann, and in case the Child with which my said Wife is now pregnant shall be born a Daughter, to such Daughter each £50 at age 21 or when married. Interest to be paid annually to daughters Betsy and Rebecca. Sons William, Thomas and John, and in case unborn child is a boy, to such posthumous son, the residue of personal and real estate to be divided among them. Friend William CRANE, mariner, and my son William BURNHAM executors and guardians of my children Thomas, John, Sally, Ruth, Ann and my posthumous child. Witnesses: Benjamin SCURR, William BOWSER, William BOTSFORD. On 5 September 1825 John DOBSON and his wife Ruth, the said Ruth being one of the legatees mentioned in the Last Will and Testament of the late Jonathan BURNHAM, were cited to appear in probate court to hear the final accounting of the administration. File also contains guardianship bond dated 9 April 1810 granting guardianship of Samuel TINGLEY aged fourteen years on the tenth day of December Past, Son of Josiah TINGLEY the younger late of Sackville, deceased, a Minor, to Jonathan BURNHAM. Fellow bondsman James LAURENCE of Sackville.
