Résumé Parish of Norton, Kings County, Esquire. Will dated 2 February 1824, proved 26 July 1825. Entire estate to friends James HENDRICKS Esq. of the City of Saint John and Reverend James COOKSON of Hampton, rector of that Parish, in trust for my natural son Robert Phillips KNOX, who now resides with me, until he is 21 years of age when he will stand "Seized and possessed of the same Estates both Real and personal." James HENDRICKS, James COOKSON and Henry SWYMMER, of the City of Saint, John executors. Witnesses: R. LIGHTFOOT, Joseph WETMORE, Robert WETMORE. CODICIL dated 12 June 1825 bequeaths £10 to each executor and an additional £25 to Rev. James COOKSON; the church in Norton £50 for improvements; Thomas BASSETT £15; Hampton church £30 for a seat for poor children; each of my brothers and sisters 5 shillings. Witness: Joseph BAXTER. CODICIL dated 12 June 1825 revokes the bequest to Norton church and directs the £50 be divided between Rev. James COOKSON and Thomas BASSETT. Witness: James COOKSON. Inventory, dated 23 July 1825, by Daniel GREEN and John HAYES, in addition to three tracts of land valued, in total, at £2,550, included books and periodicals, some forty titles ranging from provincial law, farriery, navigation and history.
