Résumé City of Saint John, St. John County, Merchant. Holographic will dated 29 March 1795, proved 19 February 1815. All property to friends William CAMPBELL and Colin CAMPBELL, surveyor, both of Saint John, In Trust, to be disposed at public sale. One-half of proceeds to brother Hugh McDONALD in Darroch in the shire of Sutherland, and in case of his death, to be divided among his wife and children. The other half to be divided among David McDONALD of Lairg in the Shire of Sutherland, Christian McDONALD, Margret McDONALD, Ann McDONALD and Jean McDONALD of Bogart, my uncle's sons and daughters, all in the Shire of Sutherland. In case of the death of any one of them, their share to be divided among their children. Ten pounds to Mrs. MURRAY immediately after the sale of my effects and that she may have all the kitchen materials of every kind for her own use without being accountable to any one. William CAMPBELL and Colin CAMPBELL executors. Witnesses: Christopher WATSON, John DANIELL. CODICIL undated, provided a bequest of £100 to each executor.
